The Townsville Land Use Proposal comprises two documents:
The Townsville Land Use Proposal - The Overview (5MB);
The Townsville Land Use Proposal - The Strategies (772kB).
The purpose of The Townsville Land Use Proposal - The Overview document is to assist the community in understanding the implications of the proposed policies for the new City Plan and encourage comment and discussion on the growth related challenges and opportunities facing the city. It also details how the vision from the Community Plan will be carried forward into the new City Plan for the city. It also discusses what will change and what will stay the same, should these policy directions be implemented.
The detailed Townsville Land Use Proposal - The Strategies document is the technical document which sets out the proposed policies for managing future land use and development in order to achieve the outcomes discussed in The Overview document.
