| The Super Welcome to Townsville is the official welcome to Townsville for car racing teams of all categories and the many visitors to the city who watch the Sucrogen Townsville 400 V8 Supercars. This event includes driver's appearances, information on the cars, motor sport displays, children's amusements, a food court and live entertainment featuring Australian-New Zealand rock legends, Dragon.
Applications have now closed to be a food vendor for this event.
Highlights include driver appearances, V8 promotional car display, powerboats display, children's amusements and a headline performance by Dragon! |

Dragon - back and as good as ever!
Fronted by the legendary kiwi singer Mark Williams, Dragon will rock its way through a long list of iconic songs that are part of the national estate.
Todd and Marc Hunter started the band in 1973 and Dragon have had many hits over the years and have sold over 2 million albums. The band is known for anthems like April Sun In Cuba, Are You Old Enough, Rain, Speak No Evil, Young Years, This Time, Sunshine, Celebrate and Dreams of Ordinary Men. |

The McDonald’s Dance Expo runs in conjunction with the Rotary Strand Night Markets and the evening has proven to be a huge success seeing crowds of over 10,000 people flood the Strand Park area to enjoy the markets and experience the best Townsville dance groups and companies performing on a unique stage located on the sand. |
