This program aims to assist Townsville community organisations to make a positive contribution to the quality of life for Townsville residents by providing funding for social service and community development activities, programs and/or services as well as facilities and/or equipment.* |

- Last Friday of October of each year
Level of Financial Assistance
Grants will range between minimum $1,000 and maximum $5,000.

Please note, the following are unlikely to be funded through the Community Grants & Sponsorships Scheme:
- Laptops/computers/projectors
- Portable shade structures
- Trailers and other small capital
- White goods
- Office equipment, tables and chairs
- Shade sails

The Mayor's Community Assistance Fund program (also known as the Discretionary Fund) aims to assist Townsville organisations with quick response funding so that they can make a positive contribution to the quality of life for Townsville residents through the provision of social services and community development activities, projects and programs.

Level of Financial Assistance
One off grants of up to $500. Council has up to $10,000 to distribute in 2011/2011.
