Partnerships and Sponsorships Program

 Partnerships and Sponsorships grants The Partnerships and Sponsorships Program aims to assist Townsville organisations to provide community services, community development, cultural development, and sport and recreation development activities in Townsville by contributing funds for capital costs, programs, projects or operational expenses.

Community Micro-Grants Program

Community Micro-Grants Program

The Community Micro-Grants Program aims to assist Townsville community organisations with quick response funding so that they can make a positive contribution to the quality of life for Townsville residents through the provision of social services and community development activities, projects and programs.*

One off grants up to $1000 subject to the availability of funding.

Festivals & Events Grant Program

The Festivals & Events Grant Program aims to support festivals, community events and celebrations which showcase Townsville’s talent and enhance community identity and pride; and bring economic and tourism opportunities to the region.

Event Categories and Levels of Assistance

Corporate Event    Council defines a Corporate Event as an event that charges admission, is entertainment orientated and will deliver significant economic benefits to Townsville.

Funding:  $1,000 to $250,000.

Feature Event    Council defines a Feature Event as an event that is unique in nature, of a scale large enough not to be repeated within the same year, and that delivers tourism and/or promotional benefits to the city.

Funding: $1,000 to $100,000.

Developing Event   Council defines a Developing Events as an event that has the potential to develop into a feature or corporate event, which has demonstrated growth since inception.

Funding:  $1,000 to $15,000.

Community Event   Council defines a Community Event as an event that delivers lifestyle and/or community service benefits to the Townsville community.

Funding:  $1,000 to $15,000.

One-Off Event   Council defines a One-Off Event as an event that will occur once within the foreseeable future, that may fall into either of the other four event categories listed above.

Level of Financial Assistance

$1,000 to $250,000.

Mayor's Community Assistance Fund 

The Mayor's Community Assistance Fund program (also known as the Discretionary Fund) aims to assist Townsville organisations with quick response funding so that they can make a positive contribution to the quality of life for Townsville residents through the provision of social services and community development activities, projects and programs.

Funding Round

Ongoing.

Level of Financial Assistance

One off grants of up to $500. Council has up to $10,000 to distribute in 2011/2011.

Cowboys Jersey Gifting Program 2013

The Cowboys Jersey Community Gifting Program aims to assist Townsville organisations with a fundraising initiative so as to make a positive contribution to the quality of life for Townsville residents through the provision of social services and community development activities, projects and programs.

Community Heritage Grants Program

Community Heritage Grants

This program aims to assist organisations that play an active role in preserving Townsville's history and heritage.

Funding Round

Last Friday of October of each year.

Level of Financial Assistance

One-off grants of up to $5,000.
