On Friday 16 December, the Mayor of Townsville, Cr Les Tyrell OAM distributed gifts collected as part of the appeal to the recpient organisations in a special gift giving ceremony.
The Mayor's Christmas Tree Appeal is unable to assist individual recipients.
We thank these organisations for their support of families, youth, children, people with a disability, indigenous groups, people with mental illness, migrants, the homeless, women in crisis, seniors and many more. Your tireless efforts are truly appreciated.

Food Relief NQ provides an invaluable service for the appeal by preparing and packaging all Christmas hampers distributed amongst the recipient organisations. This year they distributed on behalf of the Appeal around 1500 hampers. They are assisted by a team of volunteers including members of the Defence Force and the Vietnam Veterans Association. We truly appreciate the assistance of all these volunteers.
