For over 20 years, the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Appeal has assisted thousands of local families and individuals through the assistance of local community organisations.

The collection of food and gifts for 2012 has now closed. 

Monetary donations can be made all year round.

This year, the total value of donations received in food, gifts and cash as at 13 December 2012 was $106,006.84 

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Appeal – we have exceeded the 2012 target.

Gifts and hampers where provided to 25 charity organisations at a gift giving ceremony at Reid Park on Wednesday 12 December, which will be delivered to local families and individuals in need this festive season.

This year’s appeal will provide:

• Over 1,600 hampers to families and individuals
• Over $15,000 in food vouchers
• Over 1,000 gifts
