Community Tree Days

Come down to your local Community Tree Day events

These events provide opportunities for community involvement in environmental activities which will improve and preserve natural areas by enhancing environmental and habitat values of the area, not to mention there is plenty of fun to be had for the kids, and it is a great social occasion to meet with people from your local neighbourhood.

Next Community Tree Day

When: Sunday 18 November 2012
Where: Gustav Creek - Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island (access from Lintern Place - Refer to Site Map)
Time: 9am-12pm
Bring: Hat, gloves, sunscreen, enclosed footwear and water

Join Townsville City Council’s Integrated Sustainability Services and Magnetic Island Nature Care for a community tree planting at Gustav Creek, Nelly Bay. This tree planting is being held as part of the Gustav Creek catchment review and riparian rehabilitation. It will add to the revegetation and habitat enhancement works that have already been undertaken along Gustav Creek by the Gustav Creek Catchment Care (a consortium of MIRRA, MICDA and MINCA). It will contribute to the continuous improvement of the habitat for local wildlife and add value to the environment. Download poster.
