New community research has given the Townsville City Council a solid report card for the delivery of services and facilities, and the handling of emergency events. Community surveys, held every two years, provide council with valuable feedback to stay in touch with the views and expectations of the community.
The 2011 survey showed community approval of the council’s overall performance was slightly better than comparable councils in the State. The research was compiled by the IRIS Research from a random survey of 1,003 households in suburbs across the city in July this year.
