WHAT IS CREATIVE GENERATIONS?
The Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art and Design recognise and promote the outstanding achievements of visual art students from state and non-state schools throughout Queensland, studying an OP registered art course. Each year, Pinnacles Gallery hosts an annual exhibition of the works from the North Queensland Education District. There are 33 schools in the region which stretches north to Ingham, west to Mt Isa and south to Proserpine.

WHAT ABOUT ARTNOW?
ArtNow is an initiative of Pinnacles Gallery. Running along side Creative Generations, this exhibition features works from senior students who study any art related subject. ArtNow was specifically conceived to offer students not studying for their OP the opportunity to display their work.
ARTIST IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM - FREE WORKSHOPS AND RESOURCES
The Pinnacles Gallery team have developed a program of workshops to be presented in schools to promote the exhibition and to revitalize interest within the region. The aim of the gallery is to present workshops that inspire the students and raise the standard of works so that it is equal to that of schools in the metropolitan regions where students have greater access and exposure to art and art practices.
Any school in the North Queensland Education District can take advantage of these free workshops, and the gallery team travels to you! Now is the time to book your school in.
Mt Isa students participate in the Video Editing Workshop
PRESENTATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF WORK
Students will learn to present their finished work according to gallery standards. The workshop will cover presentation options, framing and documentation of works.

VIDEO EDITING
An introduction to software and techniques used to create digital films. Students will experiment with visual effects and sound tracks.
