Six Book Challenge for Busy Adults - April - October 2012

Harry S. Truman said, "Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers."

Read and be rewarded from April to October. Reading rewards include coffee vouchers, iTunes vouchers, bookstore giftcards, a bag of books and dinner for two at a local restaurant.

This challenge is open to CityLibraries Townsville members over the age of 18. Members can register, and then login each month to go in the draw for reading incentives each month. Participants who read six books and add a review will be eligible for the final incentive. Reading rewards will be announced here after the end of each month.

Family Reading Challenge - May 2012

Get your reading passport from your local
public library, school library or online

Complete at least three challenges on the
Knowledge Tree during May and return your passport to your local library to be stamped.

Complete at least five challenges to help your school or daycare centre win a day with author Phil Kettle. Read more below.

Share your favourite stories, discover a world of knowledge, and be creative together!

Complete at least three challenges on the Knowledge Tree during May, and your family will go into the draw to win a backpack of books to the value of $200.
Schools and daycare centres are encouraged to get involved too! The school with the most children completing at least five of the challenges will win a day with author Phil Kettle. This extraordinary prize is valued at $1000. The runner-up of the school competition will receive $300 worth of books. The day care centre or kindergarten with the most entries with three completed challenges will receive $300 worth of books.

ABC Radio Morning Show Bookclub - last Tuesdays of each month March - August 2012

Read the book and tell Paula Tapiolas and the panel what you think about the bookclub titles on the Morning Show (dates below).
There will be a new title each month! Call ABC Talkback on 1300 630 222.
