Townsville RSL Stadium is the newly opened multi-purpose air- conditioned sports arena located in the Murray Sports Precinct. The stadium was part of the Murray Sports Complex Redevelopment a project that was a partnership between the Townsville City Council, Queensland Government, Australian Federal Government and local sports groups.
The facility features an international standard wooden sports floor, multi-purpose function rooms, a public gym, offices of the Townsville City Council- Sport and Recreation Unit, stadium administration offices, and community sporting groups.
Our arena can be set up for feature sports events with tiered seating on either side of the court for 2000. Dividing screens provide the option of playing multiple sports on three line marked courts: Futsal, Basketball, Badminton, Netball and Volleyball. The arena can also be carpeted to provide an ideal space for expos, dinner's, conferences or other events.
The Skybox rooms; on level 1; can be used as corporate entertaining areas for sports events or as individual meeting/ conference rooms. Retractable walls mean rooms can be opened to accommodate larger groups. Townsville RSL Stadium has the latest audio visual equipment with Smart Board technology available, portable LCD projectors and audio throughout the building.
Townsville RSL Stadium design incorporates full disability access throughout the building. On the 20th October 2011, The Spinal Injuries Association acknowledged the Townsville RSL Stadium as the winner for Best Sporting Venue in the 2011 Inclusive Community Champions (ICC) Awards. The stadium also has a built in hearing augmentation system to allow the full enjoyment of the audio system. Each unit can be used with either a neck lace receiver for those with implants or as an earphone for those with a hearing aid. These units are available for hire at the reception desk.

With nearly 20 000 members, everyone is welcome to join and take advantage of all the great facilities on offer. The naming rights sponsors is a result of the continuing development of business relationships by the Together Townsville unit of the Townsville City Council.
