Amongst the spectacle of colour and activity along The Strand, lies a myriad of permanent public artworks with an environmental theme. The popular Strand Ephemera is a public art exhibition that is held every two years on The Strand.

- Hambeluna - located adjacent to Strand Park
- Hambeluna Lagoon - located in Strand Park
- Lyin' Fish - located on Gregory Street Headland next to Jamaica Joes
- Sea Turtle - located at Oxley Street intersection
- The Coconuts - located between the Rock Pool and Landsborough Street Headland
- Flotsom and Jetsam (glass tile artworks) - located in the amenities block at Picnic Bay Surf Club and in pavers leading to The Pier
- Oceanic Images Made of Wood - located behind the amenities block at the Water Park
- The Palm Tree Drums - located between the Gregory Street Amphitheatre and Picnic Bay Surf Club
- Mixture of Memory and Desire - (mosaic tiles) - located at Gregory Street Amphitheatre
- Land Boat - located adjacent Tobruk Pool Kiosk
- Winner's Circle - located outside the entrance to the historic Tobruk Pool
