Off the Strand Pier, Rock Pool or beach.

Relax with your family at a host of great spots and enjoy the fantasic views to Magnetic Island.

In the public activities and events in Strand Park. View the public artwork reflecting the significant heritage of The Strand.

On one of the 24 FREE barbeques available on The Strand.

9. Get fit...
Enjoy walking, basketball, beach volleyball, bike riding and ball sport activities.

10. Challenge yourself...
On the eight exercise points positioned along the Strand promenade, or sign up with Picnic Bay or Arcadian Surf Life Saving Clubs for some real action. There are also 3 outrigging clubs positioned on the Strand - Townsville, Magnetic Island, and Coral Sea. The Townsville Sailing Club operates from the southern end of The Strand.
