School holiday events postponed due to wet weather

Townsville City Council has been forced to postpone a number of school holiday activities due to the wet weather.

Parents and students are advised the following outdoor events will not take place as advertised:

• Get Active in Parks program at Heatley Park which had been scheduled for this afternoon.
• National Youth Week Workshop at Heatley Park which had been scheduled for this afternoon.
• Pool Fun Day at Strand Rock Pool which had been scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, January 14)
• Youth Zone Soccer at Heatley Park which had been scheduled for tomorrow evening. (Wednesday, January 14)

Indoor events organised as part of the school holiday program will take place as scheduled.
