More information:

Following the amalgamation and the merger of events, Council has split the luncheon into two separate sessions to ensure that the maximum amount of people have the opportunity to attend. Each session will accommodate about 900 people, and pioneers can choose which session they attend as they can only register for one of the sessions.

To register, pioneers must be:

  • 70 years of age or over, and
  • a permanent resident of the Townsville area.

Partners and carers do not need to be 70 years of age provided the pioneer is 70 years or over.

Transport
Townsville Taxis have come on board to help us transport our pioneers to the entertainment centre at no charge to the pioneer. Townsville Taxis will pick up any pioneer who requires transport from the place they reside and return them after the event; simply include these details in the registration form.

Highlights
There will be plenty of entertainment, including special guest entertainer Kamahl, plus lots of prizes and giveaways.

Join us for a great day out at the 2008 Pioneers' Party
