- Photo image database - historical photographs of Townsville. Copies can be ordered.
- Microfiche - a variety of indexes, gazetteers, almanacs, and directories.
- Specialist in-house databases - access Australian Standards Online and Ancestory.com (a valuable tool for family history researchers)
- A collection of reference CDs
