CityLibraries enjoy hosting displays, workshops, and demonstrations for many of the local clubs, societies, associations, and community organisations.
We have lockable display cabinets at our Aitkenvale, Flinders Street, and Thuringowa Central branches. All branches have a gallery area for pictorial presentations. In addition we provide free-standing pin boards and tables on which displays may be arranged.
Some groups erect their own display stands, and televisions with video or DVD players can be arranged for groups that may require it.
Promotional or informational material for your group can be displayed by CityLibraries and we can also create signs on your behalf to help publicise your display or workshop.
Many groups have enjoyed the opportunity to connect with the general public and generate interest in their field. This service and the facilities and equipment are all provided free of charge.
Some groups also booked the various meeting rooms and public spaces to hold workshops or demonstrations to coincide with the display they may be holding in the library.
Keep an eye on our Events Calendar for upcoming displays.
Local chess clubs may be interested to know about our chess tables (293kB) at the Aitkenvale and Flinders Street branches.
