CityLibraries holds a collection of resources and runs a number of regular and occasional programs to interest, assist and inform parents of all age groups.

School Holiday Programs

At a loss on how to entertain the children over the school holidays? CityLibraries forms a major part of Townsville City Council's school holiday program. Programs are available from your local branch or mobile library truck two weeks before the school holidays. Bookings are taken one week before the holidays begin.

Our Youth Services Librarians run a number of workshops throughout the year to provide help and guidance with a range of parental issues.

Collections

Our parents' collection holds a variety of literature for parents with subjects ranging from practical advice, to fun activity ideas for children.

Our Early Readers are widely used by parents to compliment their children's reading program.

Our online databases provide an eclectic wealth of information that can help with the many facets of parenting.
