In addition, CityLibraries also run occasional computer training courses. Blogging for Beginners, Homework on the Internet and Golden Surfers are some of our past favourites.

Learn more about Solar Power

The Community Renewable Energy Project includes the installation of a 2.1kW solar panel array and an educational display at the CityLibraries Flinders Street.
Early 2008 solar panels were installed on the Flinders Mall overpass to create electricity, which feeds into the electrical grid reducing greenhouse gases and the library’s energy bill.
Data is sent to the Solar Display that is located in the main library area near the Information Desk. This display will provide information on the solar panels and receive real-time data from the solar cells.
This informative educational tool is for all library visitors. Staff from Integrated Sustainability Services (ISS) will also be available to give presentations to school groups of all ages.
