The Townsville Civic Theatre opened in 1978 and for the last thirty years has been a dynamic centre of entertainment and performing arts in the City. Playing host to a feast of live entertainment, the Theatre has also provided an environment to further the development of performing arts in the North and link Townsville to mainstream top-class productions.

Bar

Situated on the Theatre's forecourt our bar provides patrons with a selection of fine wines, spirits and light refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. The Bar opens one hour prior to a performance, during interval and remains open for one hour after the performance.

Technical

One of the leading regional venues in Australia the Theatre boasts superior technical equipment, including state of the art sound and lighting systems meeting the requirements of international, national touring artists and local community users. Townsville Civic Theatre has highly professional technical staff whose combined knowledge and dedication helps make all performances successful.

All tickets purchased over the phone will be charged to a credit card.
Note: A phone-booking fee of $3.30 will apply per transaction.

TicketShop accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Diners, and American Express.

For phone, mail and/or fax bookings, tickets will be posted to your address if purchased more than one week prior to the performance, otherwise they can be collected from the TicketShop located at the Townsville Civic Theatre on Boundary Street.
