Townsville City Council has two premier theatres offering a range of quality productions throughout the year.

TicketShop Centro Townsville closing

TicketShop at Centro Townsville will be closed from Wednesday 27 May, 2009. Tickets may be purchased at the Townsville Civic Theatre, Riverway Arts Centre or over the phone by calling 4727 9797.

Townsville City Council sincerely apologises for any inconvenience this closure may cause to patrons.

Riverway Arts Centre

The Riverway Arts Centre entwines the arts, leisure, and the natural environment to create new and unique experiences for all. Whether you catch a performance in the theatre or attend a function in the first-class facilities - you'll love what the centre has to offer.

Townsville Civic Theatre

The Townsville Civic Theatre is North Queensland's premier cultural facility owned and managed by Townsville City Council. Since its opening in 1978, the Theatre has been a dynamic centre of entertainment and performing arts, providing an environment to further develop the performing arts in Townsville and the North.

Temporary disruption to Townsville Civic Theatre access

We ask Townsville Civic Theatre patrons to be aware of Department of Main Roads closures for an annual asphalt replacement program which will cause disruptions to traffic for the next 10 weeks. Access to the theatre has been arranged. Please follow the signs. We suggest you leave for the theatre a little earlier to allow for possible traffic delays. We apologise for the inconvenience but the show will go on.
