Notifying council about pests
Skip Navigation LinksHome > Resident Information > Pest plants and animals > Notifying council about pests

Have you discovered a new weed or a new infestation of an existing weed? Seen a pest animal that you haven't noticed in Townsville before?

If so, please download the Pest Notification form (or contact us for a hard copy) and fill it out. Then return it to Environmental Health Services by fax, email, or in person, and we will follow up on your sighting.

This will help us keep track of new weeds and pests and get on top of them as quickly as we can.

Further Information

For information on other pest plant and pest animal activities in which council is involved, visit the State of the Environment website.

Further information on the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Act 2002 can be found on the Biosecurity Queensland website. The website also offers fact sheets on pest plants and pest animals.

For more information regarding pest management within Townsville, please phone 1300 878 001 or contact Integrated Sustainability Services.
