Council is currently undertaking a review of the Pest Management Plan. The background briefing material (below) includes the process that is being used to develop the new Townsville Local Government Area Pest Management Plan and a summary of the NQ Dry Tropics Regional Pest Management Strategy, on which the plan will be based.
The public comment period has now closed. However, draft documents are still available online until the final document is approved.
Townsville City Council conducted a meeting and workshop in July 2009 to gain feedback and input into the Pest Management Plan. Landowners and representatives with an interest in declared pest management in Townsville attended this forum and provided valuable input at the meeting. A summary of forum proceedings is attached below.
