The link below is to the ABS catalogue 3218.0 Regional Population Growth Australia, 2007-08. This catalogue includes ERP for our Townsville Local Government Area and for all Townsville Statistical Local Areas.
Released 23 April 2009, the latest ABS estimate of Townsville's residential population, as at June 2008, is 175,542 people.
A further link, below, offers ERP data by suburb, for Townsville City for the years 2001 - 2007. Please note that caution should be used with the figures for small areas, i.e. Beach Holm and Town Common. Figures for small areas are based on ABS experimental figures at the census collection district level. These figures are experimental because they are modelled on building approval data and as such may not correlate to completion and movement of people into those dwellings.
