The West Townsville Youth Development Project, which has been operating since 2003, is funded by the Queensland Government's Community Renewal program and delivered in partnership with Townsville City Council.

These include Heatley Community Centre, Heatley, Cambridge and other local parks, schools, and public facilities. To finalise the program, Youth Zone will be held at 5 parks over 5 weeks in June, 2009. Flyers will be distributed via letterbox drop one week prior to each event.
