The Great Northern Clean Up 2009

Due to the recent wet season and associated flooding Townsville City Council along with other North Queensland Councils (Cairns, Tablelands, Hinchinbrook) elected to postpone Clean Up Australia Day activities. The 3rd/4th of October 2009 was selected as the new date for The Great Northern Clean Up. In the tropics, October generally has more favourable weather conditions for clean up activities and will also coincide with pre-cyclone season preparations.

More information about the Great Northern Clean Up is available here.
