Overview of CBD developments

CBD Developments

More than $4 billion worth of major projects have been planned, or are underway, in Townsville and Thuringowa throughout 2008. The projects are a mix of manufacturing, defence, education, public infrastructure and construction. Townsville's CBD is a major focus of development and the works will reflect the vision outlined by the CBD Masterplan.

Of the $2.7 billion worth of major projects, over $1 billion worth will be based within the central business district. They include:
