Innovation & Business Advisory Committee

Purpose

The purpose of the Townsville City Council Innovation and Business Advisory Committee is to provide pathways to and from Council to assist with effective decision making on employment and economic opportunities being made through innovation and by local businesses in Townsville.

Terms of Reference

The terms of reference describe the purpose and structure of the committee. They define the scope of the committee, detailing the committee's authority, composition and objectives, and provide the framework for the committee's operations. The terms of reference also identify the duties and responsibilities of members and the chair, the terms of membership, roles and responsibilities, conflicts of interest, meeting information and conduct requirements.

Members

Members will be sought from those who work naturally in the Innovation and Business Advisory Committee focus areas and who are willing to lead through a partnership approach. Members will include but not be restricted to:

  • Serving Councillor/s
  • Townsville Enterprise Limited
  • Townsville Business Development Centre
  • Townsville Chamber of Commerce
  • Townsville industry sectors
  • Townsville community
  • Council officers
