Alternate Funding Options

Council has a number of Grant Programs which aim to provide opportunities for Townsville residents and community groups.

Below is a list of alternate funding sources which may also be helpful in sourcing financial assistance for projects and ventures.

Philip Leong Youth Programme

Future for Kids International Association Ltd in partnership with The Philip Leong Advisory Committee created the Philip Leong Youth Programme to give young people a chance to achieve their best, for the benefit of the Townsville community. Each year, we are looking to give support to young people who exhibit the potential and desire to further their talents, but who may without assistance struggle.

How to Apply

Applications for the 2017 Bursary are opening mid-year, full details are available at the Philip Leong Youth Programme website.

Theodore Kuchar Scholarship for Excellence in Music

The program aims to support emerging Year 11 Townsville orchestral musicians with the costs of tuition and professional development. Council delivers this scholarship in partnership with the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.
