Festival of Stories

Everybody has a story to tell. Throughout July in a range of locations, Townsville CityLibraries will be hosting a festival of workshops, discussions and celebrations of storytelling in all its forms.

Experience a night of crime and let yourself be taken on a novelist’s journey from idea to published work with bestselling authors.

Join the debate on some of today’s most challenging topics. Master the craft of puppetry in the theatre, from visual theatre to creating your own puppet.

Spark your child’s imagination and hone their creativity with illustration, interactive performances, songs and dance.

Events include:

  • Puppet classes with Dead Puppets Society
  • Children’s workshops with Sean Murphy
  • Graphic novel workshops with Mirranda Burton
  • Dreamtime stories and performances including Boori Monty Prior
  • One Title One Townsville with Clementine Ford
  • Panel discussion with Clementine Ford, Jane Caro and Brodie Lancaster
  • Author talk and writing sessions with Fleur McDonald
  • Play date with Justine Clark

Full program to be released in late May.
