Stage 1 road work will extend through Jones Road
Townsville City Council is committed to providing essential infrastructure to support the development of Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct (LEIP).
As part of these enabling infrastructure works in Woodstock:
Bindal Drive will be upgraded with new road pavement from Jones Road to Bidwilli Road.
Ghost Gum Road will be upgrade with new road pavement from Bindal Drive to the DriveIt NQ Motorsport Precinct.
Council awarded the tender for this construction work to local company BMD Constructions.
Works commenced February 2026 and are expected to take approximately eight months.
The project will include:
installation of new culverts and drainage structures to improve stormwater management
installation of flag lighting at intersections, along with line marking, signage, and fencing.
This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government and Queensland Government in partnership with Townsville City Council.
