Stage 2 road work will extend through the precinct to Manton Quarry Road
Townsville City Council is committed to providing essential infrastructure to support the development of Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct (LEIP).
As part of these enabling infrastructure works in Woodstock:
Bindal Drive will be extended from Bidwilli Road to Manton Quarry Road
Unnamed Road will be upgraded between Bindal Drive and the Flinders Highway.
Council has awarded the tender for this construction work to local company BMD Constructions.
Works commence February 2026 and are expected to take approximately eight months.
The project will include:
construction of new road pavement along Bindal Drive from Bidwilli Road to Manton Quarry Road
construction of new road pavement along Unnamed Road from Bindal Drive to the Flinders Highway
upgraded intersection at Bindal Drive and Manton Quarry Road
installation of new culverts and drainage structures to improve stormwater management
installation of flag lighting at intersections, along with line marking, signage, and fencing.
