Project Overview

The Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct (LEIP) is located within the suburb of Calcium within the Townsville City Council Local Government Area in the North Queensland Region.

The Lansdown Precinct aims to become Northern Australia’s foremost precinct for advanced manufacturing, processing, technology and emerging industries.

Driven by Townsville City Council, this new development will generate exciting long-term job and business opportunities throughout our region and builds upon the city’s major investment in reliable water supply (Haughton Pipeline) and Townsville’s recent designation as a national Hydrogen Hub.

The project required the construction of No-Name Road access road to commence construction works within the precinct.

Council has awarded the tender for construction of ‘No-Name Road access road’ to local company BMD Constructions.

Works were completed early 2024.

No-Name Road allows for safe and functional access for proponent construction and operational traffic.

The project included:

  • formalisation of the intersection between Jones Road and Non-Name Road
  • formation and construction of No-Name Road running south from Jones Road.
