Council has committed to deliver the water infrastructure required for operations within Lansdown.
This will include a water transmission main, reservoir, internal reticulation main and pump stations (upgrade to existing Haughton pump station, and construction of a new pump station and booster pump station inside the Precinct).
These are at varying stages of design. Tenders are expected to open in early 2026 for the water transmission main, with construction commencing after the wet season.
It’s important to note that Council is committed to supplying raw water for operations within the precinct, but not for construction, meaning that construction of individual proponent facilities could feasibly start before the complete water infrastructure is delivered.
