About the Artwork

Photography is a ritual road for personal transformation and survival through the deeply complex and personal journey of grieving. Together, we were finally ready to leave the brutal roots and memories of our home-town stories behind on the dusty roads of time.

About the Artist

Cerise Gollogly is a Queensland-based designer and producer with a multifaceted background in creative direction across stage, opera, dance, film, and art-house production events. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Griffith University and has formal training in photography, fine art, lithography and printmaking, costume design, stage management, and interior design.

Cerise was awarded first place in the NSW Wearable Arts and Photography Awards and was published in The Lancet as a photographer for The Dilemmas of Aid: Cambodia reportage series. She was also a finalist in the Percival Photographic Portrait Prize (2022).

Her site-specific performance art is informed by and often created through her travels in the developing world. She has worked as a creative director for touring films and art galleries in the West and maintains an ethos that is open to collaboration and patronage.

Her unique artworks and publications are held in several private and public collections, both nationally and internationally.
