About the Artwork
This pot has no underlying context. It is simply the result of the selection of materials, the limitations of the available wood for firing, and my experience. The process is as, if not more, important than the result, and if the result connects with people, then that is all I can hope for.
About the Artist
Based in central New South Wales (NSW), Geoff Thomas has over 50 years of experience making pots alongside running a commercial farm. Primarily self-taught, Geoff has occasionally undertaken some weekend and summer schools with a wide range of Australian and international potters. He has been a member of Clay Gulgong for over 30 years, and participated in numerous group exhibitions.
