Pevan & Sarah bring national tour to Townsville Civic Theatre

Marking their fifth annual national tour, dynamic duo Pevan & Sarah is embarking on its most ambitious circuit yet, visiting 32 locations to prove that the best way to learn is with a beat.

As the demands on Australian educators continue to climb, former primary school teachers Sarah and Manny Kechayas are doubling down on their mission to make learning a celebration.

Known for their online education platform ‘Cub Club’, the duo - comprising the lovable Pevan the Tiger and his spirited bestie, Sarah - has become a staple in classrooms nationwide.

Through their infectious music and highly engaging educational resources, they have established themselves as trusted, go-to performers for kids aged 4-8.

“Five years of touring has shown us that when kids are moving, singing and laughing, they are absorbing concepts faster than we ever thought possible,” says co-creator Sarah Kechayas.

“This year is about more than just a show; it’s about giving students, teachers and families a chance to rediscover the pure joy of learning together.”

Councillor Liam Mooney said it was exciting to have such a high calibre kids’ performance heading to Townsville Civic Theatre.

“Being a dad to two young kids I can safely say that Pevan and Sarah are hugely popular with little ones, which is how I know this concert is going to be a smash hit,” Cr Mooney said.

“As a council we’re really proud to be able to bring nationally-recognised performances like Pevan & Sarah In Concert to the heart of Townsville, making sure we’re continuing to build a city that is inclusive of all our residents – including the little ones.”

The 2026 show is a 50-minute interactive adventure designed to be as “rock ’n’ roll” as it is educational.

The performance goes beyond simple entertainment, weaving together catchy anthems focusing on literacy and numeracy with core life skills such as resilience and teamwork.

The result is a high-quality, joyous celebration of what it means to be a kid, with a setlist of fan-favourite ‘bangers’ that will have all cubs, big and small, singing along with every word.

This year’s tour adds even more Australian locations to the schedule, providing a rare opportunity for regional and metropolitan communities to experience high production live theatre.

For many young fans, this show represents their first ‘real’ concert experience – and one they aren’t likely to forget in a hurry.
