Visitors were captivated by Ephemera 2025: Trace-less, North Queensland's premier art festival that displayed artwork along The Strand centred on awareness of place, Country, and the environment.

On Sunday 7 December, Townsville kicked off the festive season at Carols by Candlelight, brought to you by Sun Metals. Thousands of families enjoyed the show, featuring some of Townsville’s most talented performers backed by the 1 RAR Band and the Carols Community Choir.

Anzac Day 2026
Join Townsville City Council this Anzac Day on Saturday 25 April, in partnership with the Townsville and Thuringowa RSL sub-branches. Commemorative services and parades will be held at the Thuringowa Cenotaph, Riverway Precinct and Anzac Memorial Park, The Strand.
