Visitors were captivated by Ephemera 2025: Trace-less, North Queensland's premier art festival that displayed artwork along The Strand centred on awareness of place, Country, and the environment.

Townsville theatregoers experienced a breathtaking contemporary dance performance when Bangarra Dance Theatre presented Horizon at Townsville Civic Theatre on Saturday 29 August as part of the 2026 Theatre Season. Artists are invited to submit concepts that will form the North’s premier pop-up public art festival. Spark imagination and wonder, with artworks that celebrate Queensland’s unique stories – creating connection and lasting inspiration.
With categories including Young Artists, Open Competitive, People’s Choice, and the new Environmental Advocate Award, now is the time to submit your proposal and bring your creative vision to life.Entries close: 10am, Tuesday 3 November 2026.
