About the Artwork
There is nothing my dog Jake would have loved more than being admired in a gallery, which is why I chose him as my subject. And there was nothing I loved more than him, so I really tried to capture this in the portrait.
About the Artist
Cassie Robinson is a local artist who was born and raised in Townsville. When she was 12, she received a set of Derwent pencils for Christmas, and it was love at first sight. Cassie enjoys teaching art classes and creating art in many different mediums, but has a particular love for coloured pencil animal portraits.
