About the Artwork
“I have always had a complicated relationship with my appearance, especially with my freckles. Growing up I struggled a lot to feel confident in my own skin. It was only after entering adulthood I truly realised that looking unique and different is something to celebrate, not hide.
Looking at this portrait, I don’t just see freckles; I see myself, and I think it’s genuinely beautiful. I am grateful to Brett for being able to capture this.”
