TicketShop General Terms and Conditions of Sale
- Tickets are sold on behalf of the organisation responsible for promoting the event and are subject to the conditions applicable to the event and/or the venue in which it is held.
- Tickets may not be exchanged, refunded or returned after purchase.
- The right is reserved to vary the advertised program and to add, withdraw or substitute items, artists or players as necessary.
- At some venues, latecomers may be admitted when there is a suitable break in the program.
- At some venues, the use of video cameras, photographic equipment, recording devices and mobile phones is strictly forbidden and may not be brought into the auditorium.
- At some venues, patrons are not permitted to bring food or drink into the auditorium or to smoke in the venue.
- The management reserves the right to refuse admission.
- Ticket holders enter the venue at their own risk.
Purchasing tickets
- Wheelchair positions available via phone only (07) 4727 9797
- You must provide the following contact details for each attendee: Full name, mobile number and email address (and/or residential address). For children’s tickets, please provide the child’s name and the mobile number can be a parent/guardian number.
- Contact details will be kept by TicketShop for 56 days from the date of the performance.
- Patrons agree that all contact information will be available to public health officers upon request.
- TicketShop will not share contact information with any third party other than the relevant health authority, and will not use the information for promotional purposes.
- e-tickets will be issued in a digital, PDF format, and will be sent by email to the ticket purchaser, not individuals.
- Patrons must either print their PDF ticket/s or ensure their ticket/s are available on their phones, or collect physical printed tickets from the box office.
If available, tickets purchased at the venue will be by contactless payment methods only (no cash or cheques).
At the event
- The Patron is responsible for having their ticket/s available on their phone or printed out, or collected from the box office, for scanning at the door.
- Patrons agree to abide by all social distancing and health protocols.
- Patrons agree to follow the instructions of venue staff at all times.
- If patrons do not comply with protocols, or authorised requests, they will be asked to leave immediately without refund or further recourse.
- Refunds or exchange of tickets will be available to any customer who has developed any COVID-19 symptoms after the purchase of tickets, or who has come into contact with anyone who is symptomatic or is a confirmed case.
- Patrons acknowledge that while the Venue has taken all reasonable health and safety precautions to keep the audience, staff and performers safe, patrons enter the Venue at their own risk without recourse to claim against the Venue regarding health outcomes.
Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions
- Gift certificates are subject to availability and the terms and conditions listed above
- Valid for products of Townsville TicketShop and must be redeemed before the expiry date
- Not redeemable for cash
- Not refundable
Privacy
Townsville City Council (Council, we, our, us) collects and manages personal information in the course of performing its activities, functions and duties. We respect the privacy of the personal information held by us. The way in which Council manages personal information is governed by the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (the Act).
Generally, we will not disclose your personal information outside of Council unless we are required to do so by law, or unless you have given us your consent to such disclosure.

Data collected by Council
We are collecting your personal information in accordance with Local Government Act 2009 and this information is gathered during interactions with Council’s websites in the following circumstances:

It is a necessary part of visiting any website that your web browser provides your machine’s identity (IP address) to the web server so it can address the reply to the correct machine. In addition, the browser type and operating system are provided.
- Navigation and clickstream data
Browsing any website generates a trail of the pages you visit and the time apparently spent viewing each page.
Information about people submitting events
To submit an event for publication on this website, individuals are required to provide some personal information, including name and contact details.
- The purpose of collecting this information is to enable the creation of a user account for event submitters to edit / update their event submissions, allow website editors to contact you about your event listing/s if required, and for website improvement processes.
- Supply of this information is mandatory as part of your event submission.
- Townsville City Council is the agency that is collecting and storing the information.
- Under the Information Privacy Act 2009 you have the right to access and request to change personal information held by Townsville City Council.
Information collected by the Council is intended for use by staff in the marketing, communications and digital teams. Townsville City Council will only use the information for the purposes for which it was collected.
User feedback
We seek feedback from our website users to improve the information and services provided on the site. Providing feedback is voluntary and does not in any way affect your access to this website. Personal information may be used to reply to your question or comment.
Subscription details
Personal information you provide when you register for email newsletters will only be used for the purpose indicated for that particular service.

Identified data can only be disclosed to the user if the user provides the unique request session number. Personally identified data may be disclosed to a third party only in circumstances where such disclosure is legally authorised, such as in the investigation of a criminal offence in compliance with a search warrant or subpoena.
