In her most personal show yet Karen Knowles presents Songs & Stories - a concert celebrating the Australian music that we’ve grown to love - songs from artists such as Judith Durham, Olivia Newton John, Archie Roach featuring many other much-loved songs that sing up and connect us to this amazing land we call home.
Singing for and with Australia audiences with heartfelt gratitude and recognition, promoting unity with all people and all of creation be sure to book early for this amazing opportunity to join Karen for Songs & Stories for this one night only event. Karen has sung The Seekers repertoire extensively when touring with The Seekers as their lead singer in the early 1990s and has been singing Olivia’s music since her early teens on television.
Through Karen’s work with reconciliation since the early 1990s she has sung I am Australian at various national events and was very touched by Archie Roach’s musical expression of connection to country. Karen very much enjoys travelling and connecting to country when touring and some of the songs that were written during such inspired times on country (featured on her 7th and 8th studio albums Solid Ground & Sanctuary) will also be featured as part of this Songs & Stories performance.
In this specially curated concert Karen will perform I Honestly Love you, Let Me Be There; I’ll Never Find Another You, Morningtown Ride, Carnival Is Over; Under the Milky Way Tonight as well as Archie Roach’s gems Native Born and One Song and Karen’s own song Belong.
Songs & Stories offers audiences an opportunity to be with each other to collectively celebrate the gift of being Australian while honouring various iconic Australian artists who have created music that has touched our hearts forming a much-loved soundtrack to our lives.
Join Karen and her celestial band The Elements (piano, guitar, and cello) for this magical evening performing all the songs you know and love.
