This year, the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal is proudly supporting Northreach Community Care to provide practical and compassionate care to disadvantaged and vulnerable community members.
Together, we can help local families doing it tough this festive season. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference right here in Townsville.
How Can I Contribute?
You can make a monetary donation online or donate goods directly to Northreach Community Care.
Donations of food hampers and non-perishable foods can be taken to Northreach Baptist Church, located at 38 Canterbury Road in Kirwan.
About Northreach Community Care
Northreach Community Care Ltd is a registered charity established in 2016 by one of the oldest churches in Townsville – the Northreach Baptist Church.
The charity provides practical and compassionate support to disadvantaged and vulnerable community members who are facing financial hardship. They provide emergency relief in the form of food hampers, grocery and fuel vouchers, essential household and personal care items, and social accommodation support.
Beyond meeting basic necessities, Northreach Community Care also offer compassionate care to help restore dignity and belonging. This assistance helps to reduce financial stress, prevent crisis escalation and strengthen community wellbeing.
