Dahé Wie and Jacqueline Burchell: Hi, everyone!
Dahé Wie: My name is Dahé Wie.
Jacqueline Burchell: And I'm Jacqueline Burchell.
Dahé Wie and Jacqueline Burchell: And we are the Green Saint Project!
Dahé Wie: Our artworks are titled Bin Chickens, depicting Australia's most loved bird, the ibis. This bird embodies traceless.
Jacqueline Burchell: There will be a total of 12 birds foraging around the rubbish bins near the Rockpool on the Strand. We have been inspired by the resilience and adaptability of the ibis, how they changed their food source to human rubbish when they lost their natural habitat.
Dahé Wie: We are using recycled bird netting wire mesh and recycled aluminium beer cans to create these sustainable sculptures. These inner parts of the cans reflect the light, offering a shimmering effect on the ibis's feathers.
Dahé Wie and Jacqueline Burchell: See you at the Ephemera!
