Sandy Guy, an experienced arts educator and art event coordinator; she is the Lead Visual Arts Educator at TAFE Queensland in Townsville.

Townsville is where her creative journey began. She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at James Cook University in 2003 and then went on to teach the arts and coordinate art events, including exhibitions, workshops, festivals and musicals, in various locations around Australia.

A multidisciplinary artist, Sandy facilitates drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and art history within her role at TAFE Queensland. Growing up on a sugarcane and cattle property in Ingham, the imagery of North Queensland continues to inspire her.

Sandy is completing a Masters in Arts and Culture Management, Deakin University. She says this allows her to provide the most up to date industry information to students and advances her art management skills.
