About the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal
The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal has a long history of helping local families and individuals in need during the festive season.
This year, the Appeal is raising funds for three local organisations dedicated to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged community members through practical assistance and compassionate care.
About the Recipient Organisations
Act for Kids
Act for Kids is a leading child protection charity that provides free therapy, counselling, education and family support services to help children recover from trauma, stay safe and reach their full potential.
North Townsville Community Hub
North Townsville Community Hub (NOTCH) is a community-based organisation that connects people with practical support, services and programs that strengthen wellbeing and social connection. From emergency relief and food assistance to playgroups and community activities, NOTCH helps create a more resilient and inclusive community across the Townsville community.
St Vincent De Paul Society
St Vincent De Paul Society is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting people doing it tough. Through practical assistance, housing and homelessness support, and community services, they help individuals and families access the support they need while providing dignity, hope and opportunities to improve their circumstances.
