About the Artwork

Between Tides is inspired by the intertidal zone. Each rock is home to a dense community of sea anemones, barnacles, algae, crabs and countless other marine organisms. Through sgraffito lines and shifting blue tones, the work celebrates the richness of this constantly changing ecosystem and invites viewers to slow down and discover the life hidden within.

About the Artist

Aisha Kennett is a ceramic and printmaking artist based in Gimuy/Cairns. She combines traditional ceramic techniques with a printmaker’s approach to surface and composition.

Aisha completed her Diploma of Visual Arts in 2025. Her work has been exhibited in regional and national exhibitions across Australia and has been selected as a finalist in the Omnia Art Prize (2026), Siliceous Award for Ceramic Excellence (2025), and Feel Good Art Prize (2025).
