Mayor Nick Dametto:

Townsville, it's Mayor Nick Dametto I'm here with Adam Baillie. He's the member for Townsville and we're just actually going past Grandma's right now along Eyre Street, checking out the new footpath over 430m of footpath has been delivered through Works for Queensland, $2.4 million investment and a new pipeline going through here. Over 200m of that for the local residents and of course the businesses here, Adam?

Adam Baillie MP:

Well, it's a big upgrade as far as safety goes, but also how it looks and feels. It's fantastic for the local businesses and I want to thank Council for delivering this project along with the contractors. And I also want to thank the businesses for their patience while this project was delivered.

Mayor Nick Dametto:

Adam, these are the kinds of jobs that we can deliver with state and government and local government working together.

Adam Baillie MP:

Absolutely. And it's been great, great outcome.

Mayor Nick Dametto:

Cheers. Adam. Thank you.
