We have a housing crisis across Queensland. In Townsville, we're going to build our way out of that.
Wayde Chiesa:
This is an exciting announcement where we officially turn the sod of the Svensson Road upgrade. This project, a $42 million project has received a $29.5 million contribution from the Crisafulli State Government.
Cr Brodie Phillips:
It’s going to open up an additional access point out to the Bruce Highway.
Mayor Nick Dametto:
It'll help unlock up to 3000 residential blocks. This is incredible.
Glen Maidment:
Without the Residential Activation Fund, we wouldn’t be standing here today.
Wayde Chiesa:
We need to supply, supply, supply so we can build, build, build.
Mayor Nick Dametto:
The best part about Townsville - It's about 30 minutes from one side of the city to the other. We want to retain that as we build this city.
