Cr Brady Ellis:

So what do you do with this one? Is this the Egyptian one? Oh! You can't go to the shops and buy this. This is only grown here: Townsville Community Garden.

G'day, Townsville! Cr Brady Ellis here at Townsville Community Garden. This is in Railway Estate.

I'm so proud that Council has unanimously voted to give these guys, the Townsville Community Garden, a peppercorn lease for the next 10 years on this site. That means they have a home for another decade right here in Railway Estate.

People like John and everyone else here can continue gardening. It's 1.6 hectares of land with beautiful fertile soil and there is tons and tons and tons of fresh produce that goes out into our community for people to eat every single month right here.

Right, in 10 years, we're going to do it again.

John Eckersley:

Sounds good.

Cr Brady Ellis:

Wendy sold it very well. She said this one's like eating grass. Yeah, you're right! It is like eating grass. I'll go back to this one. Mmmm.
